I love this board. It’s incredibly light, which translates directly to a super agile and responsive ride. From the moment you step on, you feel a direct connection underfoot — every shift in weight or movement is instantly transferred into motion, making it feel incredibly intuitive.
Tight turns, quick transitions, and carving feel effortless. It reacts fast, but with a smooth and controlled feel that gives you confidence in any condition.
The board also has a great bounce and release off the water, perfect for pumping, or recovering from touchdowns. It's playful and precise, ideal for both freestyle and wave riding.

If you are a long time fan of the Drifter, or a new comer this kite never fails to put a smile on your face. This kite was already fast and responsive - a pure kite fliers kite with exceptional handling characteristics. It likes to be flown, anticipating your next turn on a wave is effortless, and the APEX frame makes it feel even better. The new revisions since the 04 model change has definitely lowered the minimum wind range in each size, and the APEX weight savings improves on this refinement of the kite. I actually use one size smaller than I used to before in the same wind conditions, and have to carry a 5m in my quiver now because they do have more power than similarly sized Drifters in previous year's models. Thus, keep this in mind, especially if you are dropping in a new 9m for your older 9m.
If you like surf, and freestyle surf the Drifter is an absolute dream. If you like to foil it is a fantastic foil kite as well. Really, I cannot say enough good things about this kite. Get a demo on it if you can or ask your buddy if he has one. If you have older Drifters, as much as I loved them, this is an upgrade worth getting. Don't hesitate... life is short, and Keep Ripping!
I recently purchased a 15m Moto XL Apex. Wow. Coming off of a Contra 15m, I can't believe the improvement. I mostly ride in light winds. I found the Moto so much more playful, speedy, and light versus the Contra. I didn't find any noticeable difference in threshold winds thankfully. On a windier day I rode it, I could actually boost this kite. Again, comparing to the contra 15, the moto xl had noticeably more lift. I would say that for similar conditions, I was getting about 1.5x the height on the moto XL versus the contra. I also noticed a lot less sideways pull on the Moto XL. When I would send the kite, it translated into vertical pull for more air. The glide was also really impressive. The combo of turning speed improvement and vertical lift improvement really added up to the most fun I've had in light to mid winds in years!! Don't change this kite. I love it!
This foil is the best pump foil I've ever used! Epic glide and great wing tip breach abilities! I haven't tried it for light wing wing foiling yet but it looks like it'll be amazing. Very happy with this foil, super stoked I went with this!
I recently purchased a new Moto X apex 12m kite from Cabrinha.com, with exceptional service and speed of delivery. I'm incredibly impressed by this kite. I'm 80kg and the low end is unbelievable, I can ride this down to around 12mph and stay out boosting until around 30mph. I've had switchblades in the past but loving the slightly quicker turning this kite offers when boosting. It's been a real confidence giver and already eyeing up the 9m to complete my quiver.
This is my first Cabrinha kite after 6 years of riding another brand. I heard good reviews about it on my local beach and managed to give it a demo one weekend. Ease of use and predictability comes to mind as the main words to describe this kite. It's my first Cabrinha kite, and won't be my last.
